Exclusivity: METE announces an international tender for “Capacity Building Project for Large Gas Infrastructure Developments”

The overall objective of the Consulting Company is to assist the competent Albanian institutions and government authorities in the preparatory work necessary to support the successful implementation of large gas infrastructure projects within its territory.
The Project aims at assisting METE with advisory services to:
i. enable Albania to seize potential opportunities to increase its energy security by diversifying its energy mix and energy sources;
ii. increase the government’s ability to implement and enforce environmental and social safeguards alongside the construction of large gas infrastructure developments within its territory;
iii. ensure the government’s capability through an appropriate regulatory framework to make the best use of additional public resources generated by large gas infrastructure projects; and
iv. increase the government’s negotiating and commercial capabilities.
The deadline for submitting the offers is 23.09.2011, at 12:00.
