KESH achieves 60m euros of revenue in the first semester of 2018

Around 60m euros are the revenues of the Albanian Power Corporation from the sale of energy in the unregulated market for the first six months of this year.

According to the report for this period, it results that 3.91 TWh of electricity were produced, while the second semester of this year has started well for the largest power generator in the country, since Fierza Lake is in its maximum quota, 296.18 meters above sea level.

This is one of the most optimal periods since it has stayed at these levels for four months, while the abundant hydro reserves have allowed three HPPs of the cascade to work at full capacity.

According to KESH, the last streams are about 850 cubic meters per second, which means they are sufficient to maintain the balance between the amount of water coming out of 4 turbines that produce electricity and the amount of runoff that can be discharged into Lake Fierza.

This is good news for the finances of the corporate, which, due to the prolonged drought, ended with losses in 2017.

According to the company’s annual balance sheet, the level of losses was recorded at about ALL 1.1 billion, unlike the previous year, with a positive balance of 1.7 billion Lek recorded.
