Azerbaijan to increase cooperation with Albania

Albania and Azerbaijan have signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation on the development of general plan for gas supply to the Balkan nation.

SOCAR (State Oil Company of Azerbaijan) reports that the memorandum was signed as part of the Azerbaijani delegation’s visit to Albania, which included Minister of Energy Natig Aliyev, Deputy Foreign Minister Khalaf Khalafov, head of SOCAR Rovnag Abdullayev.

The meetings focused on bilateral relations between Albania and Azerbaijan in the energy field, cooperation on Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP), which will transit through Albania.
