Mr Damian Gjiknuri, new Albanian Minister for Energy and Industry, visits the Secretariat

Mr. Janez Kopac, Director, and Mr. Dirk Buschle, Deputy Director of the Energy Community Secretariat had on 04 October the honour to receive H.E. Mr. Damian Gjiknura, new Albanian Minister for Energy and Industry at the Secretariat. The working meeting had the focus on the numerous delays in the transposition of acquis into Albanian legal framework, as reflected in the Secretariat’s upcoming Annual Implementation Report. Also, the ongoing dispute settlement between Republic of Albania and the company CEZ was subject to discussion.

The Secretariat offered its assistance on all open issues and welcomed the Minister’s announcement to carry out thorough energy sector reforms and to strictly follow the acquis in his future policy.
