Eksklusive: Zhvillohet Samiti Ballkanik i Naftes dhe Gazit (eng)

International Research Networks is proud to bring you the Balkans Oil and Gas 2012 Summit that will take place in September this year.
In keeping with our policy of being at the forefront of the latest developments in international oil and gas exploration, we are pleased to bring you an executive senior level forum where you will be able to network, learn and take away exclusive insights on the hydrocarbon exploration and production in the Balkans area.
Following a period of decline in production in the last decade of the 20th century, several countries in the Balkan region have recently seen significant improvements in extraction and processing. These improvements come on the back of important technological advances and changes in the way the governments of Balkan countries manage their hydrocarbon resources.  Furthermore, with the increased involvement of private firms, the changes present a clear and exclusive opportunity for investors to play a bigger role in the Balkans hydrocarbon arena.
Among the constructive contributions that the oil and gas companies have made in driving increased output in the Balkans, Albania has seen its oil production more than double since 2004, and in 2011, saw a return to production levels not seen since 1990. In addition, currently, most hydrocarbon extraction is focused onshore; there are however, serious indications that the potential for offshore extraction in the region is drawing the attention of specialist offshore developers. Romania, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Montenegro have signed both onshore and offshore exploration agreements following the successful example of Croatia and Serbia. This development opens up a wide range of opportunities for businesses and investors with a stake in offshore hydrocarbon extraction, and as the offshore fields have yet to be properly exploited, it is an ideal opportunity to secure participation in a region where governments are eager to tap their natural resources. Bosnia is far from the only country whose government has clearly stated that ““…[it] is determined to intensify economic development and attract foreign investment into hydrocarbon resources…”
Throughout history, the Balkans has been of undeniable strategic importance for Europe. Stability in the region greatly benefits European prosperity, and as such, political developments in the area are as keenly scrutinised as economic developments.
The Balkans Oil & Gas 2012 Summit will therefore provide an ideal setting for analysis and discussion of topics ranging from the strategic developments pertaining to the Balkan region and its relationship with the EU on the one side and Russia on the other, to the legal and regulatory framework of the individual countries comprising the Balkan region. The Summit will be the ideal opportunity to raise and discuss important issues which need to be addressed in order to streamline oil and gas exploitation in the Balkan region in the most effective and profitable way. It is tailored for delegates from businesses with an interest in hydrocarbon extraction and facilitation, thought- leaders and academic experts from relevant fields, and high level representatives from governments; all of whom will be able to hear about and gauge how to benefit from the hydrocarbon exploration and production in the Balkans region.
Attendees will be able to learn, forge new relationships, develop existing ones and deepen their understanding of the new Balkans oil and gas landscape in the luxury of a 5* environment throughout the summit, at the private gala dinner, champagne reception and during the networking lunches.
