Do not pay excise duty, “Bankers” fined 46.4 million lek

The Customs Administration fined the company “Bankers Petroleum Albania LTD” 46.4 million lek in violation of the excise obligation.

According to the official announcement, structures from the Excise Department at the Directorate General of Customs, in cooperation with the Department of Customs in Fier, during the monitoring process over the entity “Bankers Petroleum Albania LTD” found that this institution has used 627.505 liters of fuel energy product for D1 purposes different from that for which the product is exempt from excise duty.

“Bankers Petroleum Albania LTD” with the action that is classified as an administrative offense, has evaded excise duty amounting to 23.2 million lek. For this offense it was penalized 46.4 million lek. Thus, the total liability and fines total 69.6 million lek. The Canadian company “Bankers Petroleum” since July 2004, develops its economic activity in the country, namely in the Patos -Marinez. The violations of rules and technical security against the company have also occasionally come from residents of these areas who claim unprofessional outbreaks in these areas.
