Albania, regional leader in terms of energy

Albania is ranked among the leading countries in the world in terms of energy and readiness to shift towards a more sustainable energy.

At least this is what the World Economic Forum writes in its most recent report entitled “Fostering Effective Energy Transition”.

This report is the first in this form and is the successor of the architectural energy performance index series.

In this index, Albania is ranked 25th in the world.

The country has maintained this performance, along with other elements added to the new report, this year as well.

As it is evident from the graph, Albania is classified in the green zone, where are some of the leading countries of the world.

The graph shows that Albania’s readiness for energy transition is fixed at 56%.

Even the performance of the system is fixed at about 62%, convincingly above other regional neighbors.

In both indicators, Albania is convincingly better than its neighbors, leading the region in this direction.

Countries classified in this category are in the forefront of environmental sustainability, emissions of harmful gases, but also economic growth, security, or lower energy costs for business and increased quality of energy supply.

All of this shows that Albania has a great potential for energy.
