Gov’t approves loan for dam safety in Albania

The Council of Ministers has approved the loan agreement between Albania and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development for the second extension of the project to finance dam safety.

This loan amounted to 12 million euros and the decision came into force immediately.

Additional funding includes the rehabilitation of the country’s hydropower plants and the improvement of energy supply sustainability in order to increase their safety according to European standards.
