TPP “Kosova e Re” Project Steering Committee discussed the modalities of the projects

“Kosova e Re” Power Plant Project Steering Committee, chaired by Economic Development Minister, Fadil Ismajli, met on 25 July to discuss recent developments of the project.

“KRPP” PSC was informed by the Transaction Advisor on the current state of the Project, the status of prequalified bidders, and other project developments. In addition, bidders’ mark-ups to the Request for Proposals were presented in the meeting.

The Transaction Advisor proposed his options for ongoing communication with the prequalified bidders ensuring a transparent and competitive process. Mark-ups were also discussed with the World Bank, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, and the Government Working Group.

In addition, PSC was informed on other issues of the project, such as: environmental and social issues, mine development, contracting parties to project agreements, fiscal framework applicable in the project, and review of various options on modalities for further development of the project.

PSC will take into account all comments by investors, international and local institutions, and is committed to develop a procedure which ensures competitive bids.
