SOCAR President Rovnag Abdullayev visits Albania

On July 23, the delegation led by SOCAR President Rovnag Abdullayev paid a working visit to Albania and held meetings with Albanian Prime Minister Sali Berisha and leader of Socialist Party, winner of recent parliamentary elections, Edi Rama.

The current state of bilateral relations, TAP project and development potential of the Albanian gas market, Azerbaijan’s role in the European energy security, importance of the development of economic relations between Azerbaijan and Albania were in the focus of attention during the meetings. The participants of the meetings were informed about the work done for the transportation of Azerbaijani natural gas to Europe and Albania’s interest in the realization of TAP project. The sides agreed to develop bilateral meetings.
