Dutch Embassy in Albania organized a round-table on petroleum tax system

In cooperation with the Ministria e Infrastruktures dhe Energjise and IBFD – International Bureau of Fiscal Documentation, the Dutch embassy organized an expert round-table on legal improvements for the petroleum tax system in Albania for government agencies and other interested stakeholders.

Ambassador Dewi van de Weerd highlighted the importance of a stable and reliable business environment and a predictable climate for investors. She said: “Albania is taking steps to align with EU and international standards when it comes to the country’s regulatory framework, also in the energy sector. That is why the Netherlands is active in contributing with its expertise, sharing lessons learned from and encouraging a constructive debate between all partners on how to improve such a framework.”

The workshop was followed by a fruitful discussion of the participants.
