ARMO crisis: Employees protest against state interference
Thousands of workers of the oil processing refineries in Fier and Ballesh continue their protest against the illegal blocking and abusive that certain state structures are imposing over their work.
Again they were stationed before the door of the refinery in protecting the rights of over 3 thousand families which require an unfreeze of bank accounts and for the work to resume.
According to ARMO company representatives, the state must find a solution while protests will continue until the requests of the petition they have signed are met.
“We ask from all the segments of the Albanian state to give an answer starting from today. We will continue to show our values as a company, ie. ARMO of the Taci Group,” declared the director of the Ballsh refinery, Aurel Stavre.
“We will continue to demand our rights. Dark forces that are behind this government are trying in their last days in power to block us as much. We publicly call on them that no dark force can block the rights ARMO employees and of our entire company. Our protests will continue from now on until all other requests laid down in the petition are met. ARMO is the giant of the Albanian economy development and you are part of this giant,” declared Sales Director of the Fier refinery, Emir Kodra.
On the second week of their protest, ARMO Company employees gathered since this morning in the refinery premises and said they would not leave until their demands are met.
On the other hand, the vehicles of the tax investigation authority are blocking the door of the refinery, and they are blocking the work since a long time, unlawfully and without any legal document.
Over three thousand employees of the ARMO company are long suffering the consequences of an unprecedented and illegal blocking that certain structures of the outgoing state administration are imposing over it.
The latter have operated by using pressure and abusing, with the sole intention of stealing the shares of the company.
