ARMO under state pressure to cede its shares

ARMO Company has long been in a state of unparalleled repression by a section of state structures.

The sole purpose of such a repression is the robbery of shares of this company.

This robbery of shares is the ultimate purpose and this is evidenced by the behavior and language of this part of the state structures that are surrounding the refineries, blocking the exit of the goods – bitumen, solar, petroleum products etc…

This behavior has aggravated in recent months but it has been present for at least four years when fines and threats became routine and when the demand for the stealing of shares became evident.

During the last four years, this section of the state structures has fined ARMO Company with about 100 million dollars, while only in the last few months fines amounted to $ 60 million.

Efforts to rob the shares of the company have not stopped even through other means.

The state of Albania has recently imposed an extra excise on solar oil and gas that ARMO Company uses for internal technological purposes, at a time that no country in the world is using such practices.

The sole purpose of this measure was to strike a blow to ARMO.

The level of excise on solar oil was equated with that on gasoil, while solar oil is a product that is used in industry and agriculture, whereas gasoil is a product that is used by cars.

Solar oil occupies 40% of the weight of the ARMO production and this equalization of the excise makes this product to be sold below its cost.

No other country in the world uses an equal level of excise on solar oil and gasoline.

To prevent the activity of the refineries of ARMO Company, a customs duty at the level of 10% for crude oil import was established, which is the raw material for refineries.

No other country in the world applies such taxes.

These are just a few of the numerous attempts aiming pressure, threats, fines and other decisions or acts to rob the shares of ARMO Company.

However, in more than four years this company has paid more than 120 million dollars in salaries and social insurances, while its refineries have worked only 11 months.

The company has paid in these years about $ 12 million in electricity for water pumps that supply drinking water to Ballsh and Mallakastra villages to help the community.

ARMO Company informs the public opinion that it strongly respects the laws and norms of a democratic state and therefore will not bow to such attempts aiming to steal a private property, even though freedom has been installed in Albania since 22 years.

ARMO Company deeming as holy the work, the property and the right of employees to work and support their families calls on these state structures and all other actors to set the refineries, the work and the employees free, and to respect the law.
