OSHEE’s 8-month financial performance

During January-August, the Electricity Distribution Operator OSHEE has collected ALL 42.7 billion, while the level of losses has dropped to 27.5% from 28.1% last year.

According to OSHEE data, the level of debt at the end of August fell to ALL 49.5 billion, from ALL 67.8 billion that it was for the period 2007-2014.

Its reduction came also as a result of the implementation of relief schemes for payment of installments of liabilities.

From the 8-month 2017 data, since December 2014, when the implementation of the reform began, 339,000 subscribers benefited from these schemes at a value of about $ 200 million.

According to OSHEE, half of this reduction belongs to the categories in need, such as families with economic aid, retirees, and invalids.

Meanwhile, for the 8-month period there is an increasing trend of sold and billed energy, which has positively impacted on the revenue growth for OSHEE.

The amount of sold energy results with an increase of 2.7% or ALL 1.2 billion, compared with the 8-month period of 2016.
