Albania will become a leader in the oil sector

Prime Minister Edi Rama was one of the speakers at the World Petroleum Congress in Istanbul. Rama stressed that the Albanian government has set the oil and energy industry as one of its key priorities. According to the prime minister, Albania’s potential is extraordinary, not only as a result of giant oil resources but also as a result of the country’s favorable geo-strategic position. Among other things, PM Rama mentioned the importance of TAP, the fate of one of its most important ramifications, the Adriatic-Ionian one, but also the possibility of another spin-off, towards Kosovo and then to Serbia. Rama in his speech launched a call for foreign investors operating in the sector to come to Albania. Foreign investments in this sector hold the main weight in the foreign direct investment business in Albania. The PM closed his speech expressing his confidence that Albania will soon be one of the leading countries in the oil sector. Scan Tv,  13.07.2017
